COUNT THE VARIOIUS TRIALS A JOY
James 1: 2, 3
Rejoice in the trials because God works patience in the believer to take heed ourselves to the gospel of God’s grace and to hold forth the word of life to those suffering around us. How did we begin trusting Christ alone? How will we be built up to continue trusting Christ alone? How will we be kept until the day we are delivered into the inheritance with all God’s saints? It is by God’s will through the word of his grace (James 1: 18; Acts 20:32.) Just as our rejoicing was Christ Jesus in the first our, so the rejoicing, the strength and the end of every trial is Christ Jesus in whom, and by whom, we are built up. (Ephesians 4: 14, 15; Romans 5: 1-5.)
