Speaking and Believing
Acts 14: 3
They spoke boldly, with “great plainness of speech", with unmistakable clarity, proclaiming Christ Jesus (John 3: 11; 2 Corinthians 3: 12; 4: 1, 2; 1 Corinthians 2: 1-5.) Christ Jesus is the fullness of the triune God, the express image of God, and all fullness of acceptance with God for those who believe (Colossians 2: 9; Hebrews 1: 3; Colossians 2: 10.) It was by the Lord continuing to testify of his word of grace in Paul and Barnabas that Paul and Barnabas “so spake” the word of his grace; it was because the Lord continued to bear witness of his word of grace in the hearts of those present “that a great multitude both of Jews and Greeks believed." (2 Corinthians 4: 7; 1 John 2: 20-21.)
